Who we are

1sutra (1sutra.com) uses AI to write a reader's edition of the Diamond Sutra from what you tell us about your life. These terms are the agreement between you and 1sutra. By using the site, signing in or paying, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.

Your account and signing in

There is no password. You enter your email and we send a sign-in link; the account is created the first time you open one, and you sign in with the same email after that. The browser you pay with is signed in directly.

One account is for one person. You must be 18 or older. Keep your email safe: anyone who can open it can enter your My Book.

What you buy

One piece of digital content: the PDF 1sutra: My Diamond Sutra (81 pages or fewer), written from your own story, plus three questions to ask the sutra. US$9.99, one payment, in US dollars, processed by Stripe. The price shown at checkout applies; a later price change does not affect an order you have paid.

Delivery

The finished book is placed in My Book and we email you. Usually about half an hour after payment; if a person has to check it first, at most 24 hours. The book stays in My Book, to download again at any time, until you delete it.

Failed delivery and refunds

If the book cannot be generated, or is not delivered within 24 hours of payment, we generate it again at no charge; if it still cannot be delivered, we refund in full. If the crisis process is triggered at any stage, we stop production and refund in full within 24 hours.

The book is digital content made from your story as soon as you pay. Before paying you confirm this and agree that the order cannot be withdrawn once production has started. So once the book is delivered there is no refund, except in the two cases above or where applicable law requires one.

Refunds go back to the original payment method; when they arrive depends on your bank (usually 5 to 10 business days). After a refund the book is closed in My Book; any file you already downloaded is yours.

AI-written content

The book and the answers to your questions are generated by AI from your own story. It is not a teacher and not therapy, and it is not medical or legal advice: it does not replace a doctor, a lawyer or a counsellor. It gives no advice on major decisions such as divorce, resigning or surgery; those decisions are yours.

Scripture is quoted word for word from its source; the parts the AI writes may contain mistakes. If you find one, use “Report a misreading” in My Book.

If you are in danger, contact your local emergency number or the helplines at 1sutra.com/help first.

What you write

Your words are yours. You let us use them only to write your book, answer your questions and keep the service safe. We do not use them to train models, for advertising or for publicity, and we never publish them. You can delete them at any time.

Write only what you have the right to share. When you mention other people, use whatever you usually call them; real names are not needed.

Using the book

The book is for you personally. You may read it, print it and show it to people close to you; please do not resell or widely distribute the parts written for you.

The scripture and the commentaries are in the public domain. The site's design, the arrangement of the plain-language text and shared material, its wording and its marks belong to 1sutra.

What you may not do

Do not: write about other people in order to harm them; upload illegal content; pay with someone else's payment method or test card numbers; get around limits, scrape or disrupt the site; pretend to be someone else. If you do, we may stop serving you.

Ending and deletion

You can delete all of your data from My Book at any time. It is physically deleted within 24 hours and cannot be recovered.

We may close an account that breaks the section above; if its book has not been delivered, we refund in full.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. As far as the law allows, 1sutra's liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in this section limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If there is a dispute, write to hello@1sutra.com first; we answer within 7 days and try to settle it. If that fails, you may bring a claim in the small-claims court where you live or in a competent court in Wyoming.

Nothing in these terms reduces the mandatory consumer protections of the country or region where you live.

Changes

When these terms change, this page is updated with a new date; important changes are announced on the site and emailed to readers who have an account. Each order is governed by the version you accepted when you paid.
